Sony MDR-1AM2

The Sony MDR-1AM2 looked somewhat good and tricked me into buying them. However, they didn't sound open, clear, and sparkly. Instead they sound muffled, and nasally. The 8 kHz peak along with the dark treble cuts in the high treble / air make it sound muffled and nasally. Almost like a Shure SM7b microphone's treble. It does not have smooth sparkly highs. It ruins the headphone entirely:

Ooff. Seems like the dynamic drivers just can't play sub bass. Treble looks trash.

Btw, do you know of a good replacement cable for the EM6L's, preferably one with a mic?

with a boom mic i use a trn redchain plus, mic is trash tho.
