The Logitech Blue Yeti is one of the most popular microphones to get on the market for YouTube and especially ASMR. You can make a living off of this microphone if done right. I find that the 2kHz dip significantly colors the sound for spoken word. The bass and treble roll off in my opinion is less of an issue. The 2kHz scoop is the main factor I have for upgrading from it. I've noticed that whispering negates some of the coloration problems as well as using it for sound effects. It's really when you're doing normal spoken word that it really starts to bug me. The response overall is very smooth which I think is also a good characteristic of it. No harshness.

I don't know the microphone specs for certain but the headphone jack and microphones tend the have a fair amount of self noise hiss. The closer you are to the microphone and louder you are helps keep the gain knob and windows microphone volume halfway up which will reduce the self noise significantly. I think the blue yeti is a must have ASMR microphone since it has a smooth frequency response and is so cheap to get started with. It also sounds fine for whispering and recording sounds. I wouldn't get it for a pleasing spoken word tone. On a side note, I would avoid other versions of this microphone like the Blue Yeti X because I think it sounds harsher and worse.

Fun fact: The Logitech Blue Yeti has a similar tuning to the AKG C314. However, the AKG C314 has superior bass and treble extension for a warmer, clearer more detailed sound. The 2kHz scoop is also on the now discontinued original Blue Baby Bottle which I'm too lazy to add to the database.
