The Simgot EM6L are quite frankly the best thing I've ever heard. They have some of the smoothest treble of any IEM regardless of price and are tuned extremely well for a fun, dynamic, V-shaped sound.

The Simgot EM6L has a few advantages over the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 Ohm. For one, it has more sub bass, smoother treble, and it isolates the sound. Although the Simgot EM6L lacks some musical sparkle in the highs, it has a more polished sound as if you were in a somewhat dampened room eliminating some airiness. Since these are closed back IEMs that isolate the sound the effect is fine. I do wish the Simgot EM6L had slightly less 4kHz but I stopped noticing it fairly quickly after using them so it didn't turn into long term fatigue.

Try this EQ preset to make Simgot EM6L more bright open and airy and have punchier mid bass:

The Simgot EM6L are great for isolated studio monitoring as we can see here VS the very popular Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohm that has many cuts throughout the frequency response coloring and fatiguing the sound:

I overlook the Simgot EA500 LM way too much. Secretly, to me it has a better response in some ways than the Simgot EM6L. The Simgot EA500 LM is tuned like an improved Beyerdynamic DT990 250 Ohm Pro which is my favorite headphone. The Simgot EA500 LM has thinner midbass making the deep sub bass punchy as hell. There is also added shimmer in the air like on the Beyerdynamic DT990 250 Ohm Pro for musical sparkle. Secretly, but not anymore. This is the most musical audio gear I have with all the trimmings. The upper mids and treble is a little shouty and lumpy but not to a terrible degree. This thing comes with additional nozzles that change the tuning. Keep the stock nozzle on it IMHO.

Some backing evidence why air sparkle and midbass scooping sounds good too.

Simgot EA500 LM is better tuned and smoother than the Beyerdynamic DT990 250 Ohm Pro with fresh pads. However, once the pads are worn, the Simgot EA500 LM is noticeably more shouty and fatiguing around 5.5kHz than the Beyerdynamic DT990 250 Ohm Pro. One saving grace for Simgot EA500 LM is EQ literally does fix it.

When it comes to choosing the Simgot EA500 LM or the Simgot EM6L I think it comes down to two things. The Simgot EM6L is smoother and more transparent sounding in the treble. The Simgot EA500 LM is a little more exciting with more high treble and air sparklier brightness as well as a little punchier scooped mid bass. However, the Simgot EA500 LM is noticeably more lumpy, shouty, and colored in the highs. Simgot EA500 LM for musical fun if you can handle the shouty fatigue and Simgot EM6L for critical listening and smoother more relaxed listening! EM6L is my choice for sure because it lacks the shouty fatigue.

The Simgot EA1000 is basically the exact same as the EA500 LM except maybe even lumpier in the treble. The additional nozzles do nothing of value to change or improve the tone so that's just something to waste your time with as usual when they add tuning gimmicks:

Bunch of lumpy shouty fatiguing junk and others agree of course:

Update... My nozzle came off, lol. I'll have to glue it back on I guess...

Fixed it with super glue

i ordered the simgot EM6L!!!!!!!!! i've been using the Moondrop SSR for gaming (mostly FPS) for years and ive been wanting to try something less "shoutty"

Got my pair. From the get go, the em6l lets you distinguish different sound of the percussions clearly. The treble is just perfect, the hi high hats sound feels real.

Just wanna say this iem gives justice to Brendon Urie's voice. Real endgame.

I just bought this and they remind me a lot my 6XX but in IEM format

Thank you for the review, my EM6L's just came in and I love them, I was wondering if you have any experience with aftermarket tips? Something more comfortable that doesn't effect the frequency response?

@Sharur ruined his ears with deep insert tips so his ear holes got stretched out. He recommended tips with a better seal for him. Forgot what they were. I'd use the stock tips.

I use the divinus velvet. I use it everyday all day, no discomfort.

Make sure you get your size right, when you put it on try opening your mouth and smile as much as you can, see if it still seals. Seal is king.

I have been testing the DUNU S&S Silicone Eartips with the EM6L, i noticed there's a subtle noticeable difference between it, the velvets and the stock tips especially in acoustic guitar strumming. Can you give it a test?

Now that I've tested it for a few days, its only that little vibrations you feel that is different. Sound pretty much the same.

I'm absolutely mind blown by the fidelity coming out of my Apple iPad Pro using an Apple dongle and the EM6L's. Apple's DAC is vastly superior to my Motu M2 and the stock DAC in my $3,000 Dell laptop—and it's not even remotely close. Instrument separation is just another planet. Whoever says DACs are all just about low noise/distortion is a noob.
