Interesting. I think between these and the Hype 4s, I'll probably get the Hype 4s next time they go on sale or if I can get them at a decent price. A lot of the measurements I see online of the Hype 2 vs Hype 4 seem almost identical except for past 10k. I am wondering if perhaps the 711 couplers people are using are skewing their differences or if the units used to measure more similarly before. Have you heard the Hype 4s? What were you impressions of them?

Have you also looked at the ADAM D3Vs? They seem to measure relatively flat minus a bit of elevated upper mid-range for $300 desktop speakers. I'm considering getting a pair before I eventually get a pair of Neumanns.

ADAM may have high self noise. Hype 4 is discontinued. There's a hype 4 mkii now.
 
I was thinking of picking up a pair of edition XV's and was curious on your thoughts. Thinking about waiting for the moondrop skyland since they claim it conforms to vsdf almost perfectly which is a target that I like
 

The part where he uses the fan sounds and water sprayers is actually insane. Super binaural.
 
Can you review the Onix Alpha XI1?
I'm using it with the DT990Pro with worn pads and it doesn't sound as good as I expected. In fact playing FLAC files in Audacity on a Macbook Pro I hear no difference between the 3.5mm of the Macbook and using the Onix via USB C.

Shouldn't be a very audible if it's designed to handle 250 ohm

Honestly traveling with a dedicated camera especially a lower end one isn't gonna give noticeably worthwhile results over a high end phone camera. Carrying around my a6400 a few times to record videos gave a unique look but wasn't really worth it.

The RX's shoots better in daytime than top end samsungs and iphone cameras. It's practical to bring, very pocketable.

they display their measurements differently. I believe it has a lot to do with the guy listener. He also presents measurements weirdly to suit their agenda. they setup their rig so that hd650 looks bright, lol.

looks like a ea500lm clone but the peaks are even more piercing. Those peaks are very prominent. It was too much for me so no not worth it. Maybe if you can reduce the peak shout with EQ but not worth my time to bother trying to fix it.
